I keep thinking of this quote by Gandhi,

“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.”
– Mahatma Gandhi

All I can think about to day is peace. How it is so important to be kind to each other and ourselves. May all those at war in the world and at war within themselves know peace soon. May the power of love win.

If you are in need of peace, start by taking a breath.

  • Breathe in slowly, and breathe out even more slowly. Allowing your exhales to be longer than your inhales.
  • Do this for as long as you can – 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, whatever you can do.
  • Then, notice that as you breathed, your heart may have grown calmer, and you brain may have in turn grown calmer, as well.

Mother Teresa said that, “Peace begins with a smile.” So, today, I smile at you. Maybe you will smile at someone else, and then we can propagate our own peace in the world.
